WHATS BEEN GOING ON
Almost a year ago I graduated college at The University of Colorado Denver with a BS in Architecture, but honestly I was still so lost. I struggled finding an internship with no experience (my own fault) and finding passion in the career, especially since I was always getting turned down! What I did continue to keep up on was eating great food, buying clothes I didn’t need, and doing SO much research on financing and how I can make money being my own boss. Although I have taken a break from architecture, I still have that excitement and dedication for designing, whether it’s website designing, graphic media, home projects or hand drawings.
I decided to get a job at a restaurant as a support staff and had a goal to stay for a maximum of one year. In that one year, I would save until I could figure out what I wanted to do with my career. 8 months into working at the restaurant COVID-19 hits, unfortunately causing the restaurant to close. Luckily, I saved enough money to last for a while, and am now really thinking about my career since it doesn’t seem like the restaurant industry will jump any time soon.
With all the free time I have now, one thing that I have been getting really into recently is investing. With lots and lots of research I discovered that investing was a way to earn “Quick Cash” and this is something that I’ve always wanted to do. I researched and read about investing for weeks; Investing for Dummies, How to Invest, What the best Investing company to use? When I finally decided on a company, I had so many more questions, what is Cryptocurrencies, How do you search for companies, how to understand a company’s page? What is Stop Order? What is Limit Order?
I decided to start blogging because I wanted to help people who are interested in investing and getting their foot in the door! When I was doing my research, I mostly saw formal articles, but what would have been great is reading about others personal experience with investing and with Robinhood in particular. It’s nerve wracking getting started, but you gotta start somewhere and I want to bring a little more ease for you guys and take you on my journey of investing. You can read about what I learned and my opinion on using Robinhood for one month here.
Besides investing, shopping and food have always been topics I followed. If you know me personally, I can be picky, and would choose brands with better quality and are a little more expensive. I’m always on the hunt for the best jeans, comfortable sneakers and a cute unique top or dress. What I love about Colorado is that I get multiple different seasons to play with so I have time to prepare for upcoming winter & summer outfits! I also get to switch up and rotate my wardrobe to preserve the quality of some of my pieces building my closet with quality basic and unique clothing and jewelry pieces!
Although my boyfriend doesn’t approve of my shopping habits (and likewise) what we do have in common and enjoy is eating and cooking delicious meals (at least we try to) and with no dietary restrictions (so far, except dairy sensitive). We enjoy eating out at any style of restaurant, exploring different ethnic foods as well as cooking a variety of dishes from Japanese, to Venezuelan, to Italian and American and my favorite, local Hawaiian dishes. I hope to recommend spots that we enjoy going to here in Colorado and create simple dishes I make at home for us.
Besides researching and learning about financing and blogging, I have also started to take on influencers social media pages as another hobby. I like to think I have a good eye and enjoy helping people get their social media page started. Aside from staring at my computer all day, I have recently started to sport climb, and try to go on weekly bike rides around Denver or hiking in the mountains. The weather just keeps getting better and better here in Colorado!
I hope to benefit my followers with this website and help guide myself through these trying and unknown times all while still learning how to build a career. My head is flooding with creative ideas that I hope to be able to share with my followers or people just passing through my website.
XO,
Kai
